Read moreIt is too muddy in winter to enter from Cockfosters. If we meet in front of the cafe (next to the car park) it gives more options for walking including tarmac paths.
(you can drive to the car park or walk up Cockfosters Road from the tube station and turn right into Trent Park, following the access road to the cafe and car park. It is about half a mile walk)
